Parents of American Social Media star who died in Zanzibar are soon flying to the isles for investigations
Parents of the popular online content creator from the United States who died in Zanzibar and mysterious circumstances plan to travel to Tanzania to start their own investigations on the tragic incident.
The CBS News interviewed Yolanda Endres, the mother of the deceased lady influencer, Ashly Robinson regarding what they planned next.
Yolanda said they will soon fly to the Zanzibar Islands in East Africa.
“Ashly was at her happiest moment, then all of a sudden, she is dead. We are not buying the suicide tale,” said Yolanda.
Together with Harry Robinson, Ashly’s father, Ms Endres wants to take matters on own hands, in investigating what exactly could have happened to their daughter during her vacation trip in Tanzania.
The vacation in Tanzania was supposed to be Ashlee’s trip of a lifetime, celebrating her 31st birthday, topped with a surprise engagement from her lover, Joe McCann the director of crypto firm McCann Asymmetric, who until now is not issuing any statement.
From the photos that are circulating online, showing the couple hugging wildlife, it seems the lovebirds had previously toured other parts of the mainland Tanzania before going to the Isles.
On the Isles, the couple was staying at a five-star luxury villa, the Zuri Zanzibar located along the Nungwi beach.
Then it suddenly turned into a nightmare …
Ashly’s family said they were informed that she was found unconscious a few days after her birthday, which was on 5th day of April 2026.
The report reached them 11 hours after the incident.
The Police in Zanzibar say, they were informed that, Ashley and her lover had previously quarreled after their highly trending engagement in the Isles.
So serious was their fight that the management of the hotel they were staying in, reportedly had to separate them by giving each of the couple own room.
Reports added that Ashly was later found in serious condition in that room and rushed to the hospital, where she later died.
Other stories claim that hotel housekeeping personnel discovered the social media influencer hanging from the ceiling.
Overwhelmed, considering that Ashlee showed no signs of ill health, the family shared that they were struggling to take the news.
The family noted that while Ashly’s fiancé, Joe, allegedly claims the young influencer hung herself, and didn’t know her reason for doing so, her close friend Savannah Britt was however challenging the narrative.
